2. Antikythera Mechanism




Nearly a century ago, we discovered an ancient artifact that doesn’t line up with our historical timeline.

Scientists pulled an ancient computer out of shipwreck from 65BCE. What was found in the wreck is known as the Antikythera Mechanism – an ancient computer that calculated and illustrated astronomical information.

The computer baffles scientists across the world. Technology like this didn’t show up until 19th century. How is it that the ancient world was so technologically advanced, and we are just learning this?
